Inara Wrap

Today I would like to write about another kit I had purchased.  This was for the Inara Wrap by Ambah O'Brien.  I loved the pattern, and this was the first time I had done anything like this.

Inara Wrap knit

I got this kit from Craftsy, which has since become Bluprint.  The first set of colors used was House Sparrow, and the second set was Blue Dacnis.  I think these colors ended up working very well together.  There are enough different color combinations that can be purchased with the kit that everyone should be able to find a combination that fits their personal style.  The yarn used was Cloudborn Merino Superwash Sock Twist Minis which consists of 80% Superwash Merino Wool and 20% Polyamide.  I liked the yarn, and I was pleased with the final project.

The pattern was not difficult, but I did have to restart a lacy section a couple of times.  Once I got into the pattern repeat a few times I needed to reference the pattern less and less.  The structure of the pattern, with the color changes, gave me a nice stopping point when I was done for the day.    Although, it did make for many ends to weave in.

I had seen on the reivews that there were some comments that some people did not have enough yarn to complete the wrap.  I will admit that I never did a guage swatch for this, and I know I definitely should have.  I used US size 5 needles, and I had enough.   I came very close to running out though.  If you are interested in purchasing this kit, I would highly recommend checking your gauge first just to be safe.

Thank you for stopping by!
